At Long Last, I'm Finally posting some of my Minecraft creations online!
Allow me to Introduce myself,My name is Jeff, and I'm an IT Consulant from Montréal, Canada.
Online i'm know as The Grendel, or just Gren to my friends.
I've been Building in Minecraft since a friend showed it to me in August 2009.
For the first couple of months I sipmly ran around public servers building where I could. I had buildings and houses, castles, caves and tunnels on many public servers. One server I built on had plenty of space, and I had a few creations on it, Including a large Cathedral and the framework for a model of the Enterprise. Sadly one day someone was greifing the server while I was paying attention to my work and before I could say anything, the ops reset to a backup and I lost a bunch of work. :(
So later that day, Having decided that I was tired of not having control of my own creations, I downloaded the Server software and map editor. I haven't Stopped building since.
My first Map was a public free build with a few sharp mountains and deep chasms. A few friends added their own and I happily built tunnels and rooms, and staircases climbing the mountains.
(I'll post shots of that map later)
Very soon, I started to get bored of just making little houses and a few Tunnels and underwater chambers. So a few weeks after I started my server, I started my first project: An Airport
Now anyone who has built with me knows that I have never liked the scale used in Minecraft. Those blocks are just too damned big to add in detail to anything. So most of of my Creations are pretty big and I've allways enjoyed putting as much detail into my work as possible.
So here i'll be posting shots and Videos of my work for all to admire! hopefully I can inspire some other creators as well!
